Sylvia Yacoub soared with a strong blind audition performance on “The Voice” Tuesday.
Performing “Only Girl (In The World)” by Rihanna, Yacoub achieved what she set out to accomplish.
“You did a really good job. You kept the party going,” Christina Aguilera said following her performance. “Musically we probably have a lot in common, but it takes more than just being a singer… I would love to have you on my team.“
Joking, Cee Lo Green shouted out “I felt you was the only girl in the world.”
While Christina Aguilera made a strong case as to why Yacoub should join her team, both Blake Shelton and Cee Lo had interest in her as well.
“I would be honored and thrilled if you would join my team,” said Blake Shelton.
Taking in everything that was being said with her family cheering backstage, Yacoub went with Christina Aguilera.
Syliva Yacoub will continue on to the next round of the competition.
“The Voice” returns Monday night at 8 p.m. on NBC.
