Rihanna and Coldplay set to duet for Paralympics closing ceremony

A source has revealed that the hit-makers are lined up to sing their collaboration track “Princess Of China” as part of the extravaganza based on a theme of earth, wind, water, fire and ice.

RiRi will sing some of her own tracks and also join the four member-band to mark the end of the games. The band members include Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion and Chris Martin.

All the Closing Ceremony details are top secret but Rihanna has already started rehearsing.” told a source the Daily Star.

As soon as Coldplay signed up she was the obvious choice to accompany them on stage.

The Paralympics kick off on Wednesday, with the schedule of sporting events running for ten days before the closing ceremony on September 9.

During the final day musicians across the UK will take to bandstands to perform their versions of Coldplay’s Viva La Vida simultaneously at 2pm.

Chris Martin said: “It’s a great honour for us to be a part of this. It should be a great moment when the bandstands of Great Britain strike up in unison.

The Bandstand Marathon will see hundreds of community based outdoor concerts taking oplace between 1pm and 5pm.
