R&B/Dance singer Ne-Yo made a quick visit to the UK this week to make an apperance on Scott Mills’s BBC Radio 1 show to promote his new single “Let Me Love You (Until You Learn To Love Yourself)”. Listen to the full interview – divided into two parts – by clicking on the Twitvid embeds below.
During the 18 minutes his segment lasted, Ne-Yo not only talked to Scott Mills about his new record and its damn long title, he also chatted with the Radio 1 DJ of the London weather (how original!), buying his mom a new house in Atlanta, getting recently a recognition award for his career as songwriter, Conor Maynard or his unexpected introduction to the ‘dance’ genre with “Closer” back in 2008.
However, the ‘juicy’ moment came….when speaking of his recent party nights with Rihanna, Rita Ora or Lewis Hamilton in London, Ne-Yo finally confirmed (1st vid – 5:10) the rumors, that he’s indeed working on the new LP of the Bajan star. “Rihanna does not sleep. She is working on a new album at the moment”, asserted the 32-year-old and father of two. Ne-Yo said he did some studio sessions with Rihanna AND Stargate, and David Guetta in the English capital two weeks ago (after Rihanna’s ‘Hackney Weekend’ gig). With reports saying RiRi has already recorded new songs with the likes of Labrinth, Calvin Harris, Swedish House Mafia, or Marina and the Diamonds’ boyfriend Burns, a Brighton-based ‘dance-music’ producer, looks like Def Jam will be pretty ready to release RiRi’s new LP before the year ends. I’m thinking first single will be out in early Fall. And the ‘Talk That Talk’ world tour is rumored to kick-off in the beginning of January. Oh boy, how can Rihanna keep up with this pace?.
